The Science.
Long, excessive periods of exercise have been shown to cause a dramatic increase in the body’s level of cortisol, a hormone that can cause muscle breakdown - as little as an hour of aerobics can cause your body to lose more firm tissue than it’s capable of recovering. Since your body fat is burned almost exclusively by muscle, this loss can result in a slower metabolism, and ultimately fat gain. By contrast, short, intensive training sessions create a massive disturbance in muscle tissue, causing it to recruit more fibres and sparking a higher metabolism for several hours afterwards. This in turn accelerates fat burning, increases muscle tone and greatly improves fitness levels - not to mention it saves time too!

The Cabin’s programme is designed around a single, revolutionary piece of exercise equipment fashioned entirely from steel, chrome and aluminium. Setting a revolutionary new standard in the world of exercise, our gym is comprised of six different weight-bearing stations which are a true feat of industrial engineering that combines over 150 HIT and strength-training exercises between them. We also have a dedicated area for free weights and floor exercises ensuring we can cater for all levels.
The Training.
We do not waste your time in guess-work, preferring to use science to transform your shape, develop real fitness and above all, create a strong, healthy body. With this in mind, we offer an educated, intelligent approach to exercise. Short bursts of intense exercise have been shown to stimulate muscle fibres and activate your body’s natural growth hormone - aiding fat loss and building youthful, toned muscle.
The Nutrition.
During crash weight loss plans, muscle loss - not fat loss - can account for the majority of the weight lost! Given that the muscle in your body helps control your metabolism, this can create a yo-yo effect and makes it difficult to maintain the weight loss, often resulting in more weight gained than was once lost. The Cabin approaches nutrition focusing on natural Low-GI foods and ensuring that the intake of protein is optimal for your body and the style of training. This will help maintain your muscle tissue while you lose body fat, making it easier to sustain the losses.
